Its steel number is prefixed with "Q", which represents the yield point of the steel, and the following number represents the value of the yield point in MPa. For the testing of Q345 steel, on the one hand, whether the element content of the steel meets the requirements of the national standard, and the most important aspect is whether the mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile test) of the steel meet the standards through professional institutions.
Five, the difference between Q235 and Q345
Different: The lower limit of the yield strength of Q235 is 235mpa, and the lower limit of the yield strength of Q345 is 345mpa (the meaning of Q is the Chinese character "buckle", and the following value represents the lower limit of yield strength)
The alloy content of the two is different: Q235 is ordinary carbon steel, and Q345 is low alloy steel. (Compared with the old standard 1591-88 grades 12mnv, 16mn 16mnre, 18nb, 14mnnb)
Six, performance and application
Q235--Metal structural parts, carburized or cyanide parts with low core strength requirements, tie rods, connecting rods, hooks, couplers, bolts and nuts, sleeves, shafts and welded parts.
Q345--Good comprehensive mechanical properties, low temperature performance, good plasticity and weldability, used as medium and low pressure vessels, oil tanks, vehicles, cranes, mining machinery, power stations, bridges and other structures that bear dynamic loads, mechanical parts, and building structures , General metal structural parts, hot-rolled or normalized, can be used for various structures in cold areas below -40℃.
If the structure is strength control, consider adopting Q345, if the structure is stiffness control, consider adopting Q235. The price Q345 is a bit more expensive, but because of its high strength, it can save materials. Specific selection can be comprehensively compared from the above points.
