Hot rolled steel coil is a steel plate made of slab as raw material, heated by rough rolling and finishing rolling mill.
Hot rolled steel coil is an important steel variety, which mainly reflects the needs of industrialization. It has excellent properties such as high strength, good toughness, easy processing and forming, and good weldability. It is widely used in manufacturing industries such as ships, automobiles, bridges, construction, machinery, and pressure vessels.
Hot rolled steel coil generally includes medium and wide steel strip, hot rolled thin and wide steel strip and hot rolled sheet. Medium-thick and wide steel strip is the most representative variety, and its output accounts for about two-thirds of the total output of hot-rolled coils. Medium-thick and wide steel strip refers to the thickness ≥ 3 mm and less than 20 mm, and the width ≥ 600 mm, a steel strip produced in coil form and delivered by equipment such as a continuous wide strip hot rolling mill or a Steckel rolling mill.
Hot-rolled thin-wide steel strip refers to a steel strip with a thickness of <3 mm and a width of ≥600 mm, which is produced and delivered in coils by continuous wide-band steel hot rolling mills, steckles rolling mills, or thin slab continuous rolling equipment.
Hot rolled sheet refers to a single steel sheet with a thickness of less than 3 mm. Hot-rolled thin plates are usually produced by continuous wide-band steel rolling mills, thin slab continuous casting and rolling equipment, and steel strips for plate delivery.
Hot rolled steel coil is widely used in manufacturing industries such as cold rolled substrates, ships, automobiles, bridges, construction, machinery, oil pipelines, pressure vessels, etc.
