Process and characteristics of hot rolled steel
Hot rolling uses slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs) as raw materials, and after heating, strips are made by rough rolling mills and finishing mills. The hot steel strip coming out of the last rolling mill of finishing rolling is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow, and is rolled into a steel strip coil by the coiler.

The cooled steel strip coil undergoes different finishing operations according to the different needs of users. Lines (leveling, straightening, cross-cutting or slitting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking, etc.) are processed into steel plates, flat coils and slit steel strip products. To put it simply, after heating a billet (that is, the red, hot steel block on TV), it is refined and rolled several times, then trimmed and straightened into a steel plate. This is called hot rolling.
Hot rolling without annealing means that the metal is rolled above the crystallization temperature without annealing treatment.
Annealing is a metal heat treatment process that refers to slowly heating the metal to a certain temperature, holding it for a sufficient time, and then cooling it at a suitable rate. The purpose is to reduce hardness, improve machinability; eliminate residual stress, stabilize size, reduce deformation and crack tendency; refine grains, adjust organization, and eliminate organizational defects. To be precise, annealing is a heat treatment process for materials, including metallic materials and non-metallic materials. Moreover, the purpose of annealing of new materials is similar to that of traditional metal annealing.
Hot rolling is relative to cold rolling, cold rolling is rolling below the recrystallization temperature, and hot rolling is rolling above the recrystallization temperature.

Advantages and disadvantages of hot rolled steel
By definition, steel ingots or billets are difficult to deform at room temperature and difficult to process. Generally, they are heated to 1100-1250 °C for rolling.

Characteristics and uses of hot rolled steel coils
Hot-rolled coils are made from slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs). The hot steel strip coming out of the final rolling mill of finishing rolling is cooled to a set temperature by laminar flow, and then coiled into a steel strip coil by a coiler.

Types and uses of hot rolled steel sheets
Hot continuous rolled steel sheet products include steel strips (coils) and steel sheets cut from them. The steel strip (roll) can be divided into straight hair rolls and finishing rolls (split rolls, flat rolls and slit rolls).
