Elements that adversely affect the quality of sculptural weathering panels
When the molten steel of the sculpture weathering plate condenses, the inhomogeneity (segregation) of its chemical composition increases, which results in an adverse effect on the quality of the sculpture weathering plate. It is necessary to take this into consideration when selecting steel in a rolling mill.

Carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus can all be dissolved in liquid steel and iron in molten steel to form a solid solution, however, the concentration of these elements in the solid solution is smaller than that in the molten metal. Therefore, these impurities in the added metal rise as the temperature drops and condenses. This causes segregation, resulting in uneven chemical composition of the sculptural weathering board.
The crystals separated at the beginning are relatively pure, and the impurity content is moderately small. With further condensed crystal growth of the metal, the content of impurities in the crystal layer separated later is relatively high, because the content of impurities in the remaining mother liquor, as indicated above, is continuously increasing. The segregation that occurs in this way will gradually decrease by dispersion, first of all, by the segregation of carbon; however, segregation still exists to a certain extent (especially phosphorus and silicon). The phenomenon is often referred to as crystal segregation, or primary segregation.

The difference between cold rolled steel and hot rolled steel
Cold rolled steel is steel produced by cold rolling. Cold rolling is a steel sheet obtained by further thinning the No. 1 steel sheet to a target thickness under room temperature conditions. Compared with hot-rolled steel, cold-rolled steel has a more precise thickness, smooth and beautiful surface, and also has various superior mechanical properties
